Christine Miles Bsc DPodM.SRCh (HCPC registered)
Christine trained as a nurse at Westminster Hospital in the early eighties, and then worked as a Staff Nurse in London and Australia for several years, before starting a degree course in Podiatric Medicine in 1989.
Once qualified, Christine worked for eleven years for East Herts PCT, in the community clinics and at the QE11 hospital where she had a special interest in biomechanics.
Having run her private practice in Radlett alongside the NHS work for several years, she was able to devote herself entirely to her private practice when the Oakridge Practice was acquired in 2002.
Andre Ferreira BSc, MPH, M.SRCh (HCPC registered)
Andre is the newest member of the Oakridge Practice, joining in April 2015. He provides a morning clinic on Saturdays.
Originally for Canada, Andre came to the UK in 2008 where he completed his BSc (Hons) Podiatry at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff qualifying with an award for outstanding achievement in clinical practice. Following this, he completed a Masters of Public Health at the University of Sheffield.
Andre aims to work with each patient to develop a tailored treatment plan and looks to take a holistic approach to treating the concerning problem. Wherever possible he likes to put into practice a public health perspective and believes that education and health promotion is a substantial part of treatment success and prevention of potential future problems. He is also a keen sportsman and has an interest in the treatment of lower limb sports injury.
In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, martial arts, reading and the gym.
